The Nicaraguan Government has given a relevant importance to citizen security, which is a very important element to the process of human development in our country. In that sense, a new direction is taking course into creating different participative politics for violence prevention.
Citizen security is linked to freedom, physical and psychological integrity, economic, and cultural aspects of citizenship and its interactions. Their contribution to the government is expressed through the prevention and control of violence in its different manifestations; individual, domestic, social, and environmental with the purpose of creating an appropriate atmosphere for human development, as well as social and economic.
